Using Healing Meditation

Tuesday, September 30th, 2008

Sound Meditation for Healing: This form of meditation uses a sound or mantra that many Buddhist monks or even shamans have used to create energetic vibrations that would stimulate cells in the body to help it clear and strengthen. It also is considered to be a pathway to spiritual awakening and personal development.healing-breath-meditation

The sound that is most often used universally in this kind of meditation is the sound of AH, which is the sound of creation. Usually this is found in the words Amen or the sound of Ohm. When we create this sound ourselves as opposed to listening to AH, it brings us into an internal consciousness that cuts into our spiritual selves.

Organ Cleansing Meditation: This is a meditation that specifically focuses on the major internal organs of the body such as the heart, lungs, kidneys, and liver.   When you perform this method of meditation, you are able to clear out energy that s no longer needed, move through the spirit realms easily, and also function normally with a sense of clarity. It will help you not only focus on each organ of the body but will also help them to strengthen as you focus your energy on love on them.

Easy Meditation Techniques

This is another easy meditation techniques which you can use in any quiet place. This one will take about five to ten minutes though. Just as with the first, you can start by closing your eyes and breathing deeply through your nose. You should also release tension from your muscles as much as you can. Sometimes tensing them up and then releasing helps.

This time you’ll pay attention to your breath. After a few deep inhalations, just allow your breathing to fall into a comfortable and natural pattern. Pay attention to the air coming and going from your nostrils, and let other thoughts fade away.

When other thoughts and images do come into your consciousness, simply bring your attention gently back to your breath. Continue this for about five to ten minutes, or until your mind settles down and the intruding thoughts are less frequent. Then take a deep breath as you slowly open your eyes and reorient yourself to your surroundings.

This short meditation may make things appear a bit different - fresher or newer. Notice that you are still you without your thoughts. If you are interested and like the effect, this can be extended into a longer mediation session.

How To Meditate At Work

Wednesday, September 10th, 2008

Meditating at work seems to be a tall order. This is often the place where the most stress is received and the least amount of time to be able to eat and rest, let alone meditate. But the following steps can help in being able to meditate at work so that you can recharge yourself to be able to handle the stressful work load you would have.

1 Choosing a time - You need to choose a time where the least amount of distractions would beset you. Many med3choose their lunch hour or their coffee breaks to take the time to meditate. So long as you are able to fix a particular time frame within your day, then you can spend this time on relaxation and breathing exercises and reach that meditative state to rejuvenate yourself each time.

2 Picking a place- The place is very crucial to your meditation ritual. You can choose to do so at your desk, or if you have your own office then so much the better. Or you can pick out a conference room during lunch breaks or even in one of the stalls in the communal bathroom. Regardless of the place, you need this quiet time to keep fresh during the work day.

3 Informing colleagues -If you are going to do this at work, then you need the cooperation of your colleagues during your “quiet time”. Do inform them that you are undertaking this wellness regimen at scheduled times and you need their cooperation to recognize your activity. If they see the benefits you derive, you may even influence them to also meditate for the recuperative and rejuvenation effects.
