Riding The Wave to Muscle Growth

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

That secret is my favorite plateau breaker. The method I am talking about is adriana_limacalled wave loading. This method can be used by bodybuilders, athletes, strength trainers, or just the regular fitness Joe. I am sure if you workout on any sort of a regular basis that you have come across the dreaded plateau. There is always that certain time that your workout just stops giving you results. We need a method to beat this, my method is wave loading. The main reason for this is because few people have ever used wave loading so it gets the brain confused.

Often times people in a plateau will do the same thing everyday for months and sometimes years before they search for a method to break their plateau. This is a lot of wasted time, and it can be discouraging if it continues for to long. Wave loading is a form of rep/set manipulation that can help you get stronger, bigger, faster, and break your plateau.

Here is an example of wave loadings use. Say for example your goal is to put on muscle and strength at the same time. A great way to do this is using wave loading. If you have ever done a 1 rep maximum lift before, and then did the same exercise after that again with liter weight, it is much easier than if you did that liter weight first. This happens because your brain is activating and getting the neural juices flowing. This makes your brain connect with your muscle fibers easier. Now imagine if you want to bench 150 pounds 12 times, but you struggle to do so. What you could do is perform a heavier rep set before, and then use the 150 pounds next. Since your brain will be fired up lifting the weight you could not lift before becomes difficult. This is great if you are a bodybuilder that has gotten stuck in a plateau.

6 Tips on How to Gain Lean Muscle

Saturday, October 18th, 2008

There is no need to resort to the use of artificial drugs to accelerate muscle gain. You might look good in the short term but your health will suffer in the long term. When the side effects occur that’s when the regrets will set in. This article will provide 6 tips on how to gain lean muscle and to stay healthy and drug free.

Training Frequency - Many bodybuilders get caught up training for hours on end several times a week. Over training severely hampers your results by cannibalizing muscle and leaving inadequate time for muscle repair. You might be surprised to know that great results can be achieved by training as little as ½ an hour per workout three times a week. The key is intensity, doing the correct exercises and training to failure. By minimizing the rest between sets you also reap cardiovascular benefit and burn up body fat. Learn about the economy of exercise and watch how your gains accelerate.

Reps - For building lean muscle and bodybuilding strength you should keep your repetitions low. 6-10 reps is a good guideline to work with. Once you are strong enough to perform the exercise with correct form and can achieve 10 to 12 reps then you need to raise the weight. As you get stronger you will build muscle mass. Always train until failure to make sure that you are working the muscle to maximum capacity.

Get a training partner - Organizing a training partner can be great for motivation. They can provide support and push you to achieve additional reps that you would otherwise not accomplish. When you are doing exercises such as the bench press or squats you really benefit from having someone spot you. This allows you to attempt extra repetitions without fear of pinning yourself to the bench. Find someone who has similar aims to you and form an alliance. By training together you will both benefit.

Dry skin cream is what a lot of women need, especially as they get older. As you age you automatically lose moisture from your skin and so it becomes very dry, flaky and even sore. Make sure that your next pot or tube of dry skin cream is:
