I decided to investigate an opportunity called Herbalife due to the number of scams running online, this is what I found out…
Founded in 1980, Herbalife International is a leading global nutrition, skincare, and weight loss company. It is currently distributing its various products in over 70 countries worldwide through a strong network of about 1.9 million independent distributors. As among the world’s biggest nutrition and health companies, the company is occasionally facing legal and safety challenges. However, as of the moment, none of those impediments and charges have been upheld anywhere in the world.
The product range of Herbalife is wide and is varied. It includes protein snacks, protein shakes, energy and health supplements, and of course personal care products. To date, Formula 1 protein shake is still the company’s top product. This soy-based meal replacement shake has been among the initial products produced and marketed by the company. The product range of Herbalife also notably includes many targeted products specifically for the digestive health, heart health, and skincare. There are products that are kosher, vegetarian, or halal. Most of Herbalife products are made by outside companies. However, the company is also maintaining its own manufacturing plant in China. Among the company’s major suppliers are Nature’s Bounty, JB Labs, PharmaChem Labs, and Italy’s Fine Foods. These brands account for up to 40% of Herbalife’s overall product purchases. The company is now operating a manufacturing facility in Lake Forest, California to further enhance its own global product development and supply chain for the benefit of its independent distributors.Independent distributors are earning from product sales and added commissions through Herbalife’s multilevel marketing scheme and compensation structure. It helps that the company is openly providing testimonials, endorsements, and advice from popular health professionals. Such a strategy is part of the company’s goal to further boost its product marketing ability. Herbalife distributors are allowed to employ their own marketing tactics and unique methods so they could recruit new down line distributors on their own.

Herbalife As A Business Opportunity:Herbalife may be the first brand that comes to one’s mind when thinking of networking
companies. Considering that the business has existed for quite some time already and that numerous people have given positive testimonies about this brand, it gives us more reason to be convinced that Herbalife is a major player in the industry. Being in existence since 1980 and having annual revenues of around $3 billion, a company like Herbalife really grabs some attention since not many companies have managed as well for themselves. Although the image seems promising, like every other big company, Herbalife too has had its share of problems. There have been some glitches in the product area, and more in the people arena. Nevertheless, the company has survived, and is seemingly going strong.
Clouded Image of Herbalife:-Many distributors have experienced that the people whom they present the networking opportunity ask whether what is being presented is Herbalife before the program is discussed and after that lose interest. On top of all this, the products also have problems and unfavorable views. Some people are of the view that the market for Herbalife products as being already heavily saturated and so it would be all the more difficult to sell the products. This issue becomes more applicable if you are going to operate in areas where Herbalife has been operating for a long time and competition can be clearly seen.
Competition Aspects:-There is no denying the fact that the wellness industry is growing at a rapid pace. As predicted, the industry is currently rolling in more than a trillion dollars, as today’s generation seeks to look and feel good at the snap of a finger. (Or a popping of a few pills!)
This kind of growth is followed by hardcore competition and so diet and natural supplements are overflowing in the market. Be it your pharmacists’ store, your grocery store or your doorstep they are available everywhere. Now the problem which a company like Herbalife faces in a situation like this is the pricing. All its rival products are available at a lower rate than Herbalife. Though Herbalife is a unique product, the difference between the price of Herbalife and its rivals is something that the market should consider.
Compensation Related Issues:-The compensation plan of Herbalife has also been subjected to severe criticism. According to it, you are expected to buy and sell around $ 2500 personally each month to receive full royalty. However this becomes very difficult owing to the product overdose in the market. On the other hand many other networking companies are offering much better and moneymaking pay plans to their members.

One of the consequences of being “one nation under drugs” is being exposed to toxic, prescription drug metabolites via your tap water! Fortunately, with the right water filter, you can avoid it.
Drug giant Merck recently warned that “There’s no doubt about it, pharmaceuticals are being detected in the environment and there is genuine concern that these compounds, in the small concentrations that they’re at, could be causing impacts to human health and aquatic organisms.” To wit, officials in Philadelphia identified 56 pharmaceuticals or by-products in tap water. Such medications included pain meds, cholesterol lowering drugs, birth control pills, antidepressants and blood pressure meds! None of which belong in little Johnny’s “sippy cup.”
Don’t expect your city to be any different. The federal government doesn’t require any testing or safety limits for drugs in tap water. Protect yourself with the right water filter!
The market is flooded with various types of water filters - microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, reverse osmosis, electrodialysis reversal, membrane bioreactors, and combinations of membranes in series. At the conference on Wastewater Reclamation and Reuse for Sustainability it was shown that reverse osmosis filters were the most effective at removing all pollutants, including pharmaceuticals.

Of course, it’s all the fault of “Dr. Kildare”. Had the original radio series not been such a success, it would never have been transferred to the TV screen, making Richard Chamberlain a star. This is not to say that physicians had escaped glamorisation before. There were movies showing surgeons as gods. But “Dr. Kildare” was the first prime-time series with a young hero leading an experienced cast in a hospital melodrama. As a result, society was finally convinced that becoming a hospital doctor was the coolest thing on the planet. This completed the cultural task of giving the medical profession top status, eclipsing the work of Raymond Burr in “Perry Mason” who had done so much to make the defense attorney seem the most desirable job. So the boomers grew up with the fixed idea that becoming a doctor and saving lives in a hospital setting was “the” career path to follow. One of the first victims of this transference was the role of primary care physician working in their offices or local clinics. Although a socially necessary position, it lacked charisma and, from the 1960s onward, it grew challenging to persuade newly qualified doctors to work more anonymously. Only those with a social conscience followed this path, taking less money and working longer hours than those who stayed in secondary and tertiary care. That’s why, today, the vast majority of primary physicians are old and coming up to retirement.
Primary healthcare has become a grind with doctors seeing an endless supply of patients for just a few minutes at a time. Gone are the days when a caring old guy would know every last detail of the generations he had brought into the world. The modern doctor has seconds to decide what is wrong with the patient and which prescription to write before calling in the next piece of meat. That makes it almost impossible for the average patient to go through a full diagnostic examination unless money is available to pay for a referral. It is equally impossible for the front-line doctor to tell the difference between a genuine patient and a drug addict looking for the next bottle of pills. That is one of the reasons why the level of prescription drug abuse is so high in the US. It is ironic that people who find life unbearable should seek the help of primary caregivers whose lives are equally unbearable.
