A person may not have any obvious outward signs of an illness, and except for feeling fatigued, they may not notice any other symptoms. Even though this illness can cause a persons quality of life to diminish, the medical world not not classify it as a legitimate illness.

Adrenal fatigue syndrome can affect anyone at any time. It usually starts after a recent stressful event, chronic illness, or a prolonged period of poor diet, sleep, and other poor health habits. Repeated stress, such as a stressful new job is a prime cause of this illness.

Feeling tired is common for many people. We work long hours, try to see our families, and commute long distances to work. The difference is that with this syndrome, a person feels tired for no reason. They may not start feeling energetic till evening or night. Even after a full nights rest, a person with this syndrome will still be tired. Cravings for sweet and salty foods also will occur.

The good news is that with stress reduction techniques, supplements, and a new way of eating, most people can start feeling better. Avoiding processed foods, white breads and sugary foods can go a long way toward improving energy levels.
